Friends

True friends are hard to come by,
Acquaintances you may have many,
But of these, not all can be considered friends,
And of all these friends,
Only a handful are true ones.

True friends are those who stick by you,
During thick and thin,
They are with you,
Whether you are happy,
Or when you are in trouble or sad.

You'll realise,
That you have times when you are doing well,
But when times are hard,
This is when you can tell,
Who are just acquaintances,
Who are your true friends in life.
