I am reminded recently that, in spite of appearances, most people are driven and motivated by money. They may not say it up front but after a while, you could actually see the real side of these people. For me, there is nothing wrong with making money as long as you do it the right way. I find it quite disturbing that sometimes people are willing to do anything just so that they would get their "share."
I may sound naive, but I long for people who put integrity, trust, honesty, truthfulness and friendship above all else, especially money and personal gains. I know that there are still many good people out there. Unfortunately, I think that these people are a dying breed.
Oh, well. No wonder they call this a "dog-eat-dog" world.

Dog-eat-dog... that's cannibalism... or maybe... canine-alism hehehe arf! arf!
Nice play of words, Jie. It's really unfortunate when people put money as their main thrust tho'... you don't know who to trust anymore.
You can't change the materialistic world but you can certainly insulate your family from it...
Thanks for the advice, Dean. BTW, I sure miss the days when you update your blog. Been busy, huh? And how's the new addition to your family?
Reality bites la, kan? Entahlah, that's the game everywhere these days, kopiah and janggut notwithstanding, as countless friends have lamented. I have a friend who quite his job as pengarah bahagian in a local council, because he didn't want to sacrifice his principles.
That's the sad part. We lose principled people because of this kind of thing. And then when this happens, we are left with those with questionable integrity as heads or leaders (although I'm not implying all heads and leaders are unprincipled).
